Mayor Drew Dilkens has proclaimed Friday as “Bike To Work Day.”
The Mayor’s proclamation cites bicycling as a “healthy and sustainable method of transportation,” in addition to being “a practical and affordable way of commuting to work and engaging in other daily activities such as going to school or shopping.”
Mayor Dilkens cites the significance of Windsor continuing “ to develop its cycling infrastructure for both commuters and leisure cyclists” and he acknowledges the Windsor Bicycling Committee for “organizing its annual Bike to Work day to recognize and encourage commuting by bicycle.”
