Police Investigating Suspicious Death In South-Central Windsor

Windsor Police are investigating a suspicious death in south-central Windsor.

Police say that shortly before 7:30am Friday they were called to a home in the 2400 block of Highland Avenue. Officers arrived at the scene and discovered a 69-year-old man deceased inside the residence.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Unit are currently enroute and will remain there for some time. Residents can expect a significant police presence as officers conduct a canvass of the neighbourhood for witnesses and information.

We ask members of the public to avoid the area while this investigation continues.

Investigators urge residents in the immediate area to check their dash-cam or surveillance footage between 5:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. for evidence related to this case.  Anyone with information should call the Major Crimes Unit at 519-255-6700, ext. 4830.
