You now have an additional way to access local produce, prepared food and merchandise sold at the Downtown Windsor Farmers’ Market on Saturday mornings.
ShopDWFM is a new online portal developed as part of ongoing efforts to ensure safe and satisfying market shopping. Shoppers will be able to reserve goods Monday through Friday available through that week’s vendors, then pick up and pay for their purchases at the market on Pelissier Street before 10am. on Saturdays.
“The Market is a staple of the downtown Windsor experience,” says Brian Yeomans, Chair of the Downtown Windsor BIA. “This new website is one more way the DWBIA is improving that experience, for both customers and businesses, in these interesting times.”
The site gives vendors the ability to highlight feature items, take large quantity reservations and be better prepared to meet demand on Saturday mornings. “Our vendors are very creative at reaching out to new customers,” says Steve Green, manager of the Downtown Windsor Farmers’ Market. “This adds to their ability to connect with new shoppers, particularly those who might not want to browse in person this year.”
The new site can be found at www.ShopDWFM.ca .
The Downtown Windsor Farmers’ Market is located on Pelissier Street at Maiden Lane on Saturdays from 8am to 1pm through the end of October.
