A 20-year-old Amherstburg man has passed away in Wellington County.
According to the OPP, around 4:45pm on May 17th, 2020, they responded to a possible drowning report at the Elora Quarry of the Grand River Conservation Authority on Wellington Road 18.
It was reported that a male was swimming and went under the water but failed to resurface. The OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit
attended the scene and recovered the body of the missing male.
The deceased has been identified as John Daniel Howell.
