The fifth annual Newcomer Skate at Charles Clark Square will bring together adults and children who are new to Windsor-Essex to enjoy a winter pastime this Saturday.
Running from 2pm to 4pm the skate is put on by All Saints’ Church, the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario and the Downtown Windsor Community Collaborative.
Starting at 1pm, skates and helmets will be available for free loan from All Saints’ Church. Trained and experienced volunteers will fit participants with skates.
Starting at 2:30pm, both the downtown Tim Hortons are donating hot chocolate and timbits and the HUB Restaurant in the Square will be serving complimentary soup, bread, fruit, and vegetables prepared by volunteers.
