The opening ceremonies welcoming the participants of the 2016 CARHA Hockey World Cup took place Sunday evening, followed by a parade of the participating teams that finished off with an outdoor street party.
The free party on Ouelette Avenue, between Chatham Street and Park Street, allowed team members from all over the world as well as anyone else who attended to celebrate to meet each other, make friends, and have a good time celebrating the CARHA Hockey World Cup coming to Windsor. The crowd took over Ouelette Avenue, and were able to enjoy live entertainment, activities, food and beverages.
