Starting Monday, February 29th, the Catholic School Board will begin to School Cash Online, a secure and convenient web-based system that allows parents to pay for everything from field trips to yearbooks online, and avoid having to send money to school with their children.
“This will be a great improvement for parents, and for our school teachers and administrators,” said Paul Picard, Director of Education. “Parents won’t have to worry about their children losing money, and our staff won’t have to bother with handling large amounts of cash. The system is certified with the latest industry standards for security, so parents can be assured that when they make a payment online that the school will receive it.”
The system is being launched in two phases, with the F.J. Brennan, Holy Names, and St. Thomas of Villanova family of schools offering the system first, and the remaining family of schools offering it before the end of this school year.
Besides providing a method for parents to pay fees online, the system also sends notifications to parents about upcoming items for purchase as well as reminders about due dates. Once it’s launched, parents will be able to register and access the system through the board’s web site, or through their school’s web site.
