Local Chinese Buffet Celebrating Its 20th Year

Ming Wah Chinese Buffet in East Windsor is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
The restaurant started out in Montreal, and after years of research, they decided to open a second location in Windsor.
After man successful years, the restaurant suffered significant damage on Easter Monday 2012 when the neighboring Dollarama caught fire.
The blaze destroyed several businesses and damaged many others in the plaza. Everything in the restaurant was damaged from smoke from the ceilings, carpeting, wall paper to the kitchen equipment and everything was replaced.
After four months of construction, the restaurant re-opened and people lined up past Value Village to get in for lunch.
Ming Wah serves a wide variety of Chinese food from so-gai, to General Tao’s chicken, assorted Sushi, roast beef, spicy shrimp and cocktail, crab legs, frog legs, ribs, calamari, five kinds of soup, salads and a huge dessert table.
They also cater to special functions and offer a 20% senior discount. Unlike most buffets, Ming Wah actually lets you take the buffet home: buffet table take out is billed per pound at $5.75 per lb for lunch and $6 per lb for dinner.
Ming Wah is open daily from 11:30am till 3pm for lunch and re open at 4:30pm til 10pm for dinner.
To celebrate their 20th anniversary on Monday August 12th and Tuesday August 13th, they will have a two can dine for $12.95 plus tax.
