The City of Windsor has received the Award for Best Tasting Water at the Ontario Water Works Association’s annual water testing competition.
The local utility entered a water sample in the competition at the organization’s convention held in the Town of Blue Mountains, Ontario from May 1 – 4, and was presented with an award on August 3, 2011.
“This award confirms our role as a Provincial leader in the field of water technology,” stated John Wladarski, WUC’s General Manager. “We are delighted to be recognized for our innovative technology and water processing knowledge on an international scale.”
“As the first municipality in Ontario to utilize Ozone for primary disinfection, WUC has already proved its leadership in treatment optimization, plant energy conservation, distribution system pressure and flow monitoring,” he explained. “Winning this award is further evidence of the benefits of our water treatment processes.”
