The City of Windsor is looking for ways to celebrate its 125 birthday in 2017.

Mayor Drew Dilkens is inviting members of the public to join a community committee to help conceive, organize and execute events and activities to take place next year.

While the City will host its traditional annual birthday party and Mayor’s Walk on Saturday, May 20th, 2017, there is an opportunity for additional events, activities and projects to be undertaken in connection to this important anniversary.

“This is an opportunity for people to come together and have a voice in how we celebrate the 125th birthday of our City,” said Mayor Drew Dilkens. “We know the City’s official birthday party will be an inclusive, immersive, interactive, bold, can’t-miss event, but is there an opportunity to do something more? This committee is for people with ideas and the willingness to invest the effort required to bring them to life.”

While a meeting will follow at a later time in the fall, those interested in being a part of this committee are asked to email [email protected] to provide your contact details by Friday, October 7th, 2016.
