The first annual Sausage Fest which was to take place this weekend August 5th and 6th has been cancelled.

“We just weren’t seeing tickets sales where we wanted them to be,” explained Adriano Ciotoli, co-owner of WindsorEats. “It was a very difficult decision, one that Pina, my business partner, and I struggled with. In the best interest of our vendors, we felt it was the right decision to make.”

While Sausage Fest will not continue on the scheduled date, WindsorEats plans to host the event on a smaller scale in the fall.

“We are planning a Sausage Party for the fall which will be a more intimate event and on a much smaller scale than the festival.”

In lieu of the event being cancelled, WindsorEats will be making a donation to the Canadian Historical Aircraft Association, the venue that was to host the event.
