The Public School Board is looking to rename W.F. Herman Secondary School.
Next fall, the school will under go a change amalgamating with Percy P. McCallum Public School to create a K to 12 school.
The board says that in accordance with policy and regulation the Director of Education will strike an ad hoc committee to examine the name and identity of this new school community.
Ideas, comments and suggestions will be received from the community to provide the basis of the committee’s discussions. Information has been posted on the Board’s website www.publicboard.ca as well as on both school websites.
Recommendations will be presented to the Board of Trustees during an upcoming public meeting. Trustees will choose a name from the list of recommendations or provide an alternative selection.
