The Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce has named Dr. Janice Forsyth as their new Chair of the Board for the 2015-2016 year.

Forsyth is a facilitator, consultant, coach, entrepreneur and founder of Foresight Management Consulting. She obtained her undergraduate and Master’s degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Windsor. She earned her PhD in Instructional Technology from the College of Education at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan focusing on the theory and practice of design, development, utilization, management and evaluation of processes and resources for learning.

Her background includes instructional design, resource development, evaluation, strategic planning and leadership development, makes her ideally suited to work with leaders and organizations who need to motivate and mobilize their people to succeed in a constantly changing environment.

She also serves as a member of a national facilitation team with United Way/Centraide Canada, is the Co-Chair of the 2013 Carousel of the Nations with the Multicultural Council, a member of Windsor Rotary 1918 and is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Windsor.

“Together we can leverage the Chamber’s unique role and value. Your Chamber has the independence, perspective and strength to do the right thing. We have a vital role to play at this time of both opportunity and challenge in our community,” said Dr. Forsyth.  “Partnerships will continue to play a central role by encouraging organizations to interact, engage and forge alliances with the Chamber of Commerce community, aligning them to our mission to contribute directly to our member’s success and in turn the economic success of the region.”

“We are excited to be working with Dr. Forsyth on business advocacy and all the new initiatives at the Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber and look forward to her insights and leadership,” said Matt Marchand, President & CEO of the Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce.
