This weekend the far west end of Windsor will come alive as thousand of students descend on the UWindsor campus.

Windsor Welcome Week kicks off Sunday as hundreds of students move into one of the six on campus residents buildings starting at 8am. After move in and floor meetings pasta will be served in the quad and an outdoor movie will be shown.

Once students are setting in their homes for the next eight months, the week features something for everyone.

Labour Day Monday starts off with a pancake breakfast, a tailgate party before the Lancers game at 1pm and dirty bingo. There is a slip and slide, scavenger hunt and BBQ on Tuesday. Program orientations and a welcome celebration are the main features on Wednesday.

Classes get going on Thursday, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop. There is an inflatable carnival, a planned flash mob, photo booth, campus bike ride and so much more. An evening drive in move is the feature of Fridays events.

Welcome week ends on Saturday with the main event. The UWSA Coming Home Music Festival, Life in Colour Featuring Cedric Gervais.
