Goodwill is putting out a plea for clothing donations.

They say that because of this winter’s severe weather, clothing donations are down, but the demand for its job training and placement programs is still high.

“Donations to Goodwill allow us to provide valuable job training, employment placement services and other community-based programs,” says Chris Chartrand, Director of Marketing and Fund Development for Goodwill Industries – Essex Kent Lambton. “Last year, we helped more than 1,100 people find jobs and support their families – the community’s support is vital to this effort.”

Clothing donations most needed right now are for men, women and children, but all donations are always welcome.

Goodwill drive-thru donation centers are located at 3799 Tecumseh Road East, 1643 McDougall Street, 3560 North Service Road East and 298 Lauzon Road. As well as at 255 Grand Avenue West in Chatham. For hours visit the link here.
