Just before 4pm Thursday afternoon, Windsor Police were called to the 7000 block of Tecumseh Road East for a report of a Robbery.

Police say that a 26-year-old female from Windsor told them that she was riding her bicycle on Tecumseh Road west towards Jefferson just before 2:30pm. She said she went to a store and left her bicycle behind.

The vicim was walking back towards Lauzon Road, and when she got near the Walmart, a male tried to grab her headphones which were attached to her iPhone. The suspect could not get the phone from the girl so he fled west towards Jefferson empty-handed.

The male was described as being black male, in his late 20’s, 6 foot tall, with a medium build, wearing a black ball cap with a New York Yankees logo, a black tee-shirt, and dark blue jean shorts that went just below the knees.

Police ask that anyone in the area who may have witnessed this event are urged to contact Crime Stoppers or Detectives at 519-255-6700 Ext 4830.
