Windsor Police are investigating after two hair salons are robbed by a man with a knife this past weekend.

The first occurred just after 4:10pm Friday afternoon at a hair salon in the 2100 block of Parkwood Avenue. Police say that a male suspect entered the business and while wielding a knife, demanded cash from a customer and the business owner. The suspect then fled the premises and was last seen running southbound on Parkwood Avenue. The suspect made off with an undetermined amount of cash. No one was injured. The suspect is described as a male, white, in his late 20’s to early 30’s, 5’7″ – 5’10”, thin build, 160lbs, with a thin face, stubble on his face, wearing a dark rain jacket with hood over his head, dark oval-shaped sunglasses, dark pants and dark shoes.

The second occurred Saturday evening Windsor in the 1000 block of Wyandotte Street East. Police say that a male suspect entered the business and demanded cash from the business owner while wielding a knife. Customers entered the store during the robbery and the suspect put the knife away and fled the scene. He rode away on an older style mountain bicycle Eastbound on Wyandotte Street East. The suspect is described as a male, white, approximately 32 years of age, shaved head, wearing black glasses, black gloves, black hooded sweatshirt, a black toque and camouflaged shorts. He had a tattoo on his neck and had “2 spacers” in his ears.
