The Zellers store on Huron Church at Tecumseh began its store-wide liquidation sale one month ago. The store is offering deep discounts, but will not participate in the Zellers Flyer offers, HBC Credit and HBC Rewards offers, and all sales are final. Currently, sales are up to between 30% and 50% off.

This location has not been picked up by Target who will be converting the Devonshire mall location to a to Target store to open in 2013.

There are plans to redevelop the Huron Church plaza making room for a Fresh-Co location. The new grocery store is planned to go in the south section of what is currently Zellers, while the remaining portions of the building will be divided into up to four other retail units.

The Zellers store will close for good at the end of business on Saturday June 2nd.

Leading the redevelopment of the plaza, Pharmasave, “one of Canada’s leading independent pharmacy and drugstore retailers” will be opening soon in a location next to the closing Zellers store. Pharamasave operates more than 430 stores in nine Canadian provinces.
