Windsor Police are investigating a Break and Enter to a Sunglass Store located inside Devonshire Mall over the past weekend.

At 8:30 am on Saturday morning police were called to the Sunglass Hut located inside Devonshire MallĀ  for a report of a Break, Enter and Theft. The manager of the store who told police that sometime overnight, the store had been entered through the roof and a large quantity of high end sunglasses had been stolen from inside the store.

Police were led to a rear storage room where they observed that a hole had been cut through the roof in order to gain access to the store. Entry to the store was gained sometime after the store closed at 9:00 pm on Friday and before the store manager arrived to open the store at 8:00 am on Saturday.

The investigation is continuing at this time and Windsor Police have not identified any suspects. Investigators are also probing the possibility that this Break and Enter may have been linked to similar occurrences which took place at the same franchise in Waterloo, Ont. in 2007 and London, Ont. in 2008.
