Ryan Ellis and Zack Kassian celebrate a goal this past season against the Sarnia Sting

Both Ryan Ellis and Zack Kassian were assigned to AHL teams today.  Ellis was assigned to the Milwaukee Admirals (the Nashville Predators’ AHL affiliate team) and will make his debut game in game one of the West Division Finals against the Houston Aeros tonight.  He was named OHL Defenseman of the Year just days ago.

Zack Kassian was assigned to the Portland Pirates (the Buffalo Sabres’ AHL affiliate team), he was drafted in the first round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft (13th overall) and signed a three year contract with the Sabres last fall.
