Some friendly competition took place at WindsorEats this past Saturday with the Master of the Brewniverse beer event taking place.

The day brought exclusive one-off beers by participating businesses, allowing attendees a chance to vote for their favourite one.  Two awards were given out: a People’s Choice and the Master of the Brewniverse, which was decided by a panel of judges.

This year’s winners as announced by WindsorEats:

PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD

The people have spoken. Congratulations to the People’s Choice Award winner:

Chapter Two Brewing for their Malibu Barbie, a coconut, guava milkshake IPA.

MASTERS OF THE BREWNIVERSE AWARD

A panel of judges that decided the Master of the Brewniverse included Dan MacDonald of AM800, Corey Ladouceur of Essex Golf and Country Club, Chef Anthony Dalupan, Aislyn, Pina Ciotoli of WindsorEats, and Aislinn Henrickson, distiller at Wolfhead Distillery.

Congratulations to the Masters of the Brewniverse Award winner:

Beerded Dog/Jake’s Brew for their Vanilla Ice Ice Latte, an oatmeal stout with vanilla, coffee and a little dance mix
