The change in leadership at Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare is happening earlier than anticipated.
On November 1st, the Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare Board of Directors announced that current President and CEO, Janice Kaffer, as well as the announcement of Bill Marra accepting the role of President and CEO.
The transition was anticipated no later than March 31st, 2022 and April 1st; the Board of Directors announced Friday that they had made the decision to advance the planned transition to January 1st, 2022.
This decision was made to facilitate a single leadership voice in managing the Omicron surge and ensure that the response at HDGH is not subject to any role confusion between an incoming and outgoing CEO.
Over the coming months, Kaffer will continue to support Marr and the HDGH Board of Directors in an advisor capacity.
“As Bill prepares to step into his new role as President and CEO, he speaks for our entire organization and community when he says that Janice will be missed. Through an open door and determined focus to upload the key values of our organization, there is immense confidence in the leadership HDGH will receive from Bill going forward,” a news release read.
