The spirit of Art in the Park will be kept alive for 2021.
The popular kick-off to the summer festival has been cancelled the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Organizers say that when they announced the 2021 cancellation, the community contacted them to share stories and express their desire to know where they can purchase from the Art in the Park Exhibitors.
“After a lot of thought, we believe that holding a virtual auction could be beneficial to the Art in the Park Exhibitors, local and far-away supporters and the Rotary Club of Windsor (1918). The funds that the Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) raises from the auction will enable us to give back and to continue to support local and international projects,” said a news release from organizers.
The virtual auction on the scheduled Art in the Park weekend – Saturday, June 5th, starting bids at 9:00 am and continuing until Sunday, June 6th, closing bids at 6:00 pm. Exhibitors have donated over 40 unique pieces of art to the auction. The public will bid on these silent auction items over the weekend. The person with the highest bid at 6:00 pm on Sunday, June 6th, will purchase the silent auction item through PayPal.
If the bidder sees something in the silent auction that they like but were outbid or the item was not exactly what they were looking for, they will be able to visit the Exhibitor’s online store platform to view and purchase other items that were handmade by the artist. Each participating Exhibitor will be announced on the Auction page.
