Super Heroes take over Malden Park this Saturday September 27th and it’s not to late to jump into the nearest phone booth and put on a cape.
“The Super Heroes Run is a family focused event with a 1K and 5K fun run/walk/roll at Malden Park,” says organizer Jason Charbonneau.
The first ever family friendly event lets you dress up as your favorite super hero and even features a special run that’s completely accessible for individuals with mobility challenges.
The day kicks off at the John McGivney Children’s Centre at 10am and includes free onsite activities like 18 hole mini golf, face painting, caricatures, and a magician.
The run features an after party and awards ceremony with prizes such as best costume, most creative costume and highest fundraiser.
“We plan on having a great day with lots of fun but the main thing is that we’re doing this for a great cause: the John McGivney Children’s Centre,” says Charbonneau.
Registration is still open until Saturday morning and Charbonneau says there will even be on-site registration.
