Lori Adams of Windsor is $50,000 richer after winning the top prize with the OLG’s Instant Crossword.

“I had just started off my vacation with the best golf round of my life and dinner with my husband and parents,” says Adams. “On our way home, one of our wiper blades wasn’t working, so we stopped at the gas station. My mother and I both love Crossword so we decided to pick up a few tickets.”

While scratching the tickets, Adams noticed that she had a winner and thought she had won $5,000. “My son sat down with me and went through every letter and word, and that’s when we realized it was $50,000! It was a celebration after that, I was too excited to sleep!”

Adams already has big plans for her windfall. “My first two purchases will be season tickets for the Windsor Spitfire, and tickets to a Leafs game. It’s also our 30th wedding anniversary and we have a trip to Antigua booked. This win will help make the trip more comfortable,” she shared. “We also told our boys to pick out something they wouldn’t normally buy for themselves, and all three want new golf clubs! The rest of the money will help with retirement.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Mac’s on Talbot Road in Wheatley.
