The Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society has planned a tree to honour the memory of former foster parent, the late Dave Terrington.
Dave was an active foster parent for 24 years, and along with his wife Dawn fostered over 100 children during this time.
As an active member of the local Foster Parent Association, Dave also advocated for children as a representative of the Foster Parent Association of Ontario. Dave served as a volunteer driver for the Society since 1999 as well as assisting the annual Holiday Program that supports over 700 families.
Dave was also an active member of the Good “Mourning” Breakfast Club, a group of the Canadian Mental Health Association’s Bereavement Program. It’s a men’s support group that holds monthly breakfast meetings. It was the Good “Mourning” Club that was instrumental in getting support for the tree that will be dedicated to Dave.
