A Windsor Police officer was was injured on the job Friday evening is now at home.

Police say that around 6:20pm Friday, a Windsor Police Constable was on routine patrol on an ATV in the area of Riverside Drive West and Bridge Avenue when he was involved in a single vehicle accident.

The officer was transported to hospital by ambulance for non life threatening injuries.

Accident reconstruction was called in to conduct an investigation.

The name of the officer has not been released.

Police are asking any witnesses to the accident to call police at 519-255-6700 ext 4000.
