The last time these two teams met, the Windsor Express rolled past the Moncton Miracles with ease. Not much changed Friday night, at the WFCU Centre, as Windsor halted the return and earned the victory 102-98.
Leading the way for the Express were newcomers Darren Duncan (22 points) and Chris Commons (22 points, 7 rebounds).
For most of the first half of the game, Windsor kept the point advantage, even if only by 2. Darren Duncan lit the scoreboard time and time again with his speed and agility. At the half, the Express were up 47-45.
Moncton slowly climbed back into the game in the second half. With late 3rd/early 4th offense, the Miracles cut what was once an 11-point lead down to 3. Despite their efforts, the Miracles couldn’t get the baskets. The Express Nation cheered on their team loudly while the final buzzer sounded. With the applause of the fans, the Windsor Express celebrated their hard earned victory.
The Windsor Express’ next game is tomorrow night at the WFCU Centre. Tip off is at 7pm.
