    Windsor Police are searching for a man who robbed a Wyandotte Street convenience store, at knifepoint, over the weekend.

    On Saturday October 13th around 11:55am, Windsor Police were dispatched for a report of a robbery at a convenience store located in the 1400 block of Wyandotte Street West. Police say a male wearing a mask and green jacket entered the store, brandished a knife and demanded cash. The man reportedly fled the store on foot Eastbound on Wyandotte Street West.

    Windsor Police say several witnesses observed the male fleeing the scene, discarding his green jacket and throwing away a mask. He was last seen in the 500 block of Cameron Avenue. The man was wearing a grey hoodie under the jacket with a grey t-shirt as well as blue jeans. The suspect is described as:

    • Male white
    • 35-45 Years of age
    • 155-170 lbs 6′ tall
    • Shoulder length brown hair pulled back in a pony tail
    • soul-patch facial hair

    Police are asking anyone with information in relation to the incident to call (519)-255-6700 ex 4830 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at (519)-258-TIPS (8477)

      Seems to me a lot of middle aged men are doing petty crimes. More evidence that the economy is NOT okay. No excuse for this though. We have so many social resources in this area where help, counselling, groceries, referrals can be obtained. You just have to be ambitious enough (or desperate enough) to go out and get them.
