Ages: 12-16 Date: August 24, 2025 Duration: 12:30pm – 2:00pm (1.5 hours) Description: Explore the legacy of Jack Miner, one of North America’s first conservationists and a trailblazer in bird protection. In this engaging and interactive program, teens will dive into the life and work of Miner; his groundbreaking efforts to protect migratory birds, the creation of his sanctuary, and his lasting impact on wildlife conservation. Through discussion, hands-on activities, and outdoor exploration, participants will gain insight into the power of environmental action and how one person’s vision can inspire change across generations. Activities: ● Guided tour of the museum and historic house ● Cryptic scavenger hunt around the sanctuary ● Test your trivia skills in a cooperative game What to bring: ● Snack and water bottle ● All other materials provided Program fee: $5 per child
