WHAT

Spooky Urbanism: What Scares Us Should Make Us Stronger Windsor-Essex Jane’s Walk Fundraiser Saturday, October 19th: 1:00 – 2:00 PM Perception, reality, and emotions all play heavily into our fears and in determining what we are afraid of. What is there to be afraid of in our downtown Windsor urban realm and how should we respond to this fear? Are you afraid of vacant buildings? Are you afraid of not being able to find parking? Are you afraid of cars somehow crossing over our painted cycling infrastructure? Are you afraid of landlords? Are you afraid of homelessness? Are you afraid of pedestrians taking over the streets? This walk will explore whether our perceptions match reality and what role our emotions play in how we feel in our urban spaces. Host: Nicolas Lamoueux _______ Tickets: $25 per person Start/end: Caron Avenue Parking Lot, corner of University and Caron, Windsor, Ontario. Please note: this is a PAID parking lot. Street parking is available in surrounding neighbourhood. Accessibility considerations: No hills or stairs and it will all be on sidewalks. *** This event is part of the Spooky Jane’s Walk, a special mini-fundraiser taking place in October to help fundraise for the 2025 Windsor-Essex Jane’s Walk Festival. Help us raise $3,000 to support the regular festival, keeping it free for all participants. For more information, please visit WindsorJanesWalk.ca
