Trump Announces Tariffs On Foreign Automobiles
United States President Donald Trump announced 25 per cent tariffs on foreign-made automobiles and other reciprocal global tariffs, but Canada has been spared for now other tariffs remain in place including non-compliant Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement goods, steel and aluminum.
Canadian vehicles will be exempt until the U.S. administration establishes a process to tax exclusively the non-American vehicle components of CUSMA-compliant products.
