The fifth annual Newcomer Skate returned to Charles Clark Square, bringing together experienced, novice, young and old skaters.
The event was put on by All Saints’ Church, the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario and the Downtown Windsor Community Collaborative. For many joining in, it was their first time ever on ice in skates. Volunteers took to the rink to teach adults and children how to skate properly.
Complimentary snacks were supplied by volunteers as well, giving and all-in-all welcoming experienced to many new individuals to the area.
