Wednesday marks the Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. A relay run will traverse through the communities of Essex County, and will finish on the waterfront in Windsor at the Civic Terrace.
Windsor Police first participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run in 1986 and has continued the annual spring tradition every year since. The local run was renamed in memory of Senior Constable Troy Klyn in 2009. Troy was a Windsor Police officer who was an avid runner and the coordinator of the Torch Run for a number of years.
