A new splash pad is coming to Jackson Park.
Construction of the splash pad was approved in the 2015 budget and this past February the City of Windsor issued a request for proposals for its construction.
Open Space Solutions Inc. was the top scoring proposal to design, supply and install a new accessible splash pad. Other work will include site servicing as a new 4″ water service is required to operate the splash pad and modifications to the existing building to accommodate mechanical systems for the splash pad.
Total cost is $199,621 plus HST.
They will also investigate upgrading the washroom facilities which are not currently accessible.
