Environment Canada warns that a prolonged period of very cold wind chills is expected.
Bitterly cold arctic air will be ushered in by stiff northerly winds are expected all day. As a result, wind chills will easily reach -40°C to minus -35°C.
Tonight will once again be very cold.
People outdoors should exercise extreme caution. Frostbite on exposed skin may occur in just a few minutes.
