Local business KELCOM is the first company in the Windsor to London corridor to sell and service professional 3D printers, according to the company.
KELCOM’s document division recently signed an agreement with US-based 3D Systems and KELCOM says they’re currently the only local supplier and service provider of 3D printers, materials, software and printing services.
“We have been at the forefront of innovation for 45 years,” says document division manager Leonard Colucci. “3D Printing provides Windsor, Sarnia, London with cutting edge technology that has the potential to revolutionize traditional manufacturing and providing greater efficiencies to other sectors like healthcare and engineering as well.”
Company officials note that 3D printing has benefits within the region’s dominant manufacturing and tool and die industries and the company is currently working with a few different manufacturing and healthcare leaders including Proto Manufacturing to print custom designed 3D parts that are used in the manufacturing of X-ray measurement equipment.
