Open House For Planned Cabana Bike Lanes

The City of Windsor will be hosting a second open house tonight  to present the recommended option for cyclist and pedestrian connectivity on Cabana Road between Northway Avenue and Walker Road.

The recommended option consists of separated bike lanes and sidewalks on both sides.   The bike lanes would include a 0.5m buffer, and would include bollards as needed and determined by a city consultant.

The city set up a second open house after neighbourhood residents  raised a concern regarding the pedestrian and cyclist connectivity along this length of road.

This section is identified as part of the “Windsor Loop”, which Council has recently approved funding to complete.

The open house will be held at the Roseland Golf and Curling Club from 4pm to 8pm.
