Handful Of West-End Sidestreets Getting Repaved

Several west end streets will be repaved this year and next under a plan by Councillor Ron Jones that will cost a total of $1 million dollars.
The following streets are on the repaving list:
- Askin from Riverside to University
- Birch from Wolfe to Prince
- College from Brock to Prince
- Strathmore from Wolfe to Matchette
- The Tecumseh Service Road near Felix
- Wolfe to Birch
- Wolfe from Birch to Strathmore
In addition to the roads, Councillor Jones plans to dedicate $200,000 for wheelchair ramps in the area, plus work at Patterson Park.
Funding for the project comes from a one million dollar City Council allocation to each of Windsor’s ten municipal wards for projects deemed necessary to neighbourhoods. The project must still be approved by City Council.
