Transit Windsor wants to remind you, that just because the weather is getting cooler, that doesn’t mean it’s time to put your bike away. The City of Windsor and Transit Windsor want to encourage you to try the “B and B Solution: Bike and Bus”.
Transit Windsor says there are several reasons riders may want to combine riding their bike with taking the bus. If your work or recreation destination is farther than you are comfortable cycling, then why not combine your trip with Transit Windsor? Cycling to and from work or school isn’t always practical. Use the bike racks on Transit Windsor and arrive fresh and punctual. Then you can cycle back home at the end of the day if you choose. If you ride your bike to work and it begins to rain during the day, use the bike racks and board the bus at the end of the day for a dry ride home. If you get a flat tire and aren’t able to do the repair, roll your bike to the nearest Transit Windsor stop to get to your destination.
Transit Windsor wants you to know that
- It doesn’t cost more to put your bike on the bus — it is the person who pays.
- Only two bikes fit on a Transit Windsor bus, so you may have to wait if the rack is full.
- Bike racks are available seasonally – for more information, visit www.citywindsor.ca or call 311
