Two people had to be cut from a vehicle following a two-car accident on the EC Row Expressway in slippery weather this afternoon.
It happened around 4:15pm when two cars collided just east of the Central overpass. Firefighters used hydraulic extraction tools to remove a male driver and a female passenger from one of the cars. The two occupants of the lead vehicle were stopped for construction and were struck from behind at a high rate of speed.
A wrecker has removed the damaged vehicles.
The two patients were taken to hospital where they are being treated for back and neck pain.
