FIVE THINGS TO DO FOR FAMILY DAY
Family Day is a time to have fun with the whole family and create memories that will last for years to come. Spend the long weekend enjoying the many attractions and event options Windsor Essex has to choose from and we’ve put together a list in our Family Day Guide so you have it all in one place! Check back often as we add new events all of the time. Below we’ve put together a few ideas of our favourite ways to keep everyone entertained all weekend long! Many students in Windsor Essex will enjoy an extra, EXTRA long weekend with Friday February 17th as a PA Day too!
ADVENTURE BAY FAMILY WATER PARK
Adventure Bay Family Water Park will be open 12pm to 4pm on Family Day, so pack up the kids and spend the day in the warm waters! Test out the 10 water slides, FlowRider surf simulator, wave pool, Tot Loch slides for the little ones and over course the always-popular lazy river. Bonus points to pick up a famous Windsor-style pizza on your way home!
Colastanti’s Tropical Gardens will have Family Day programming all weekend long running 10am to 5pm each day. Enjoy a game of mini golf, stop by for a visit with the animals in the Petting Farm, have a blast in the arcade room and of course no trip to Colasanti’s is complete without picking up a plant or two and warm donuts!
Spend the day exploring Point Pelee National Park. The park will be open 7am to sunset. Bundle up and explore the trails, walk the boardwalk and of course make the trek out to the point! A special movie screening at the Visitor Centre Theatre of Ferngully: The Last Rainforest will begin at 1pm (cost included with admission).
The Windsor Spitfires take on the Mississauga Steelheads on Saturday February 18th at 7pm. Bring the entire family out to celebrate Family Day and enjoy some fun with the Spitfires at the WFCU Centre!
