The Town of Essex is putting out a final call for local residents to apply to become a firefighter.
Applications for positions at all three fire stations will be accepted until February 7. Applicants must live or work in the Town of Essex and have access to a vehicle to respond to alarms and attend training sessions.
“Becoming a volunteer firefighter is a great chance to serve and help protect your community. It’s also an opportunity to learn new skills and gain experience which can help advance your career,” said Essex Fire & Rescue Services Chief Rick Arnel.
