A kitchen fire on Curry Avenue has been extinguished.
Firefighters were called to the 2700 block of Curry Avenue around 6:30pm and found fire in the kitchen.
The fire had spread to the attic before fire crews had it knocked down.
No injuries are reported.
Officials say the cause of the blaze was the electrical failure of a light fixture in the kitchen. The fire spread to and was contained in the attic.
The blaze caused $70,000 in damage.
