This week is problem gambling prevention week and Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare’s is rolling out the welcome for anyone wishing to learn more about problem gambling services.

A problem gambling services information night is planned for this Tuesday, September 27th at Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare on Prince Road at 6pm. During this session, participants will learn from leading experts in the area on how to recognize the signs and symptoms of problem gambling across different populations and how to best help, not only those individuals, but their families as well. Anyone wishing to attend is asked to RSVP at 519-254-2112.

“In the last fiscal year, we treated a total of 104 outpatient and residential clients,” states Shawn Rumble, Problem Gambling Services Coordinator. “In addition to providing support to individuals with a Gambling dependency, we have expanded our services as of April 2016, to include a one week family residential treatment program in response to client need and demand.”
