The City of Windsor is launching a new public engagement portal called Let’s Talk Windsor.
It’s a two-year pilot that will allow departments to utilize the “one-stop shopping” look and feel that comes with the platform. Residents will find project details, interactive options for sharing their thoughts, a project chronology, surveys, contact information and more.
The new engagement option for residents is made possible thanks to project grants obtained by City departments, including Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change.
“We always value feedback on projects, and we hope this new platform will make it easier for residents to review what’s being planned and provide input all in one place,” said Karina Richters, Supervisor Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change.
Projects currently highlighted on the portal at LetsTalk.CityWindsor.ca include:
- Residential Deep Energy Efficiency Retrofit Program – a Community Energy Plan strategy designed for homeowners looking to increase the value of their property, improve their home comfort, and decrease their energy costs
- National Urban Park – a collaboration between the City of Windsor, Parks Canada, and numerous partners (including First Nations, Government of Ontario, local municipalities, and utilities) in exploring a National Urban Park in the Ojibway Prairie Complex.
- Review of Digital Modernization Opportunities – a project exploring how to provide services, and support residents
More projects from other departments will be added to the site in the coming weeks and months.
