The annual Ford Fireworks over the Detroit River have been rescheduled for later this summer due to COVID-19.
Officials in Detroit announced Wednesday the fireworks will now take place on Monday, August 31st 2020 as a televised-only show on Detroit’s WDIV Local 4.
City of Detroit officials say Hart Plaza and other public spaces will not be open for viewing and public safety guidelines will be communicated to citizens of Michigan by state and city officials in the coming three months.
