One person has passed away following a fire at an apartment building on Louis Avenue.
Crews were called around 6pm to the 500 block of Louis and found fire in one of the apartments.
Two people were treated for injuries. Firefighters rescued one person from the blaze who later succumbed to their injuries.
Firefighters had the blaze knocked down within minutes.
Investigators say the cause is listed as careless smoking.
Damage is set at $55,000.
