Flood Warnings Continue In Windsor, Essex County And Chatham-Kent

The Essex Region Conservation Authority reports that flooding is occurring in Leamington along Cotterie Park Road area between Fox Run Road and Mersea Road 2.
Northeast/east winds have started to increase in speeds causing significant waves, splashing and spray for the area between Wheatley Harbour and Point Pelee National Park.
Water levels in the western basin of Lake Erie have started to rise due to this wind event.
Peak water levels are anticipated to occur between Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Flooding is expected to worsen as water levels continue to rise and waves continue to push water over shoreline structures. Due to these conditions
Areas that are of particular concern include Lake Erie shoreline, including Pelee Island, Lake St. Clair shoreline, Detroit River shoreline; and and major lake/river tributaries.
The Lower Thames Conservation reports that flooding is currently occurring in Erieau, and is expected to last all night. Other communities around the bay are also being impacted as well.
