Used to the long-time speed limit of 80km/h on both Ojibway Parkway and Lauzon Parkway? Take note, changes to the speed limit have now taken effect.

Ojibway Parkway, also known as Highway 18, has had its speed limit reduced to 70km/h in both directions from the area of the Lou Romano Water Treatment Plant at GN Booth Drive to the city limit at LaSalle.

On the east side of Windsor, Lauzon Parkway has also had its speed reduced from 80km/h to 70km/h. The change took effect between Enterprise Way and County Road 42.

City Council passed the changes at their July 18th council meeting.

The City of Windsor did not respond to a request for comment on the purpose of the changes.
